These Terms & Conditions govern your use of this website and the tutoring services provided by Tutorly (“we”, “us”). By booking a session or using this site, you agree to these terms. This is a starting template, not legal advice — please review and adapt it for your situation.
The service
Tutorly provides 1-on-1 tutoring in accounting and finance for post-secondary students, delivered online and, where available, in person. Tutoring is intended to help you understand course material and study more effectively.
Booking and payment
Sessions are booked through our online scheduling system. The current rate is $50 CAD per hour, with a 30-minute minimum, payable by Interac e-Transfer (or another method we agree on) as set out at the time of booking.
Rescheduling, cancellations and refunds
Please give at least 24 hours’ notice to reschedule or cancel a session. Sessions cancelled with less notice, or missed without notice, may be charged in full. If we cancel a session, you may reschedule or receive a full refund for that session.
No guarantee of results
Tutoring can improve your understanding and exam preparation, but we do not guarantee any specific grade, mark, or academic outcome. Your results depend on your own effort and factors outside our control.
Academic integrity
We help you learn the material and prepare for assessments. We do not complete graded assignments, tests, or exams on your behalf, and you agree to use our help in line with your institution’s academic-integrity policies.
Materials
Any notes, examples, or resources we create and share remain our property and are provided for your personal study only. Please do not redistribute or resell them.
Conduct
You agree to treat sessions and communications respectfully and to provide accurate information when booking.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Tutorly is not liable for any indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of this site or our services.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time; the current version will always be posted on this page.
